Birthday Card

It is my partners birthday tomorrow and I have just been so busy I haven't had time to make one,  not to mention I always seem to have trouble coming up with ideas for male cards.  As he loves Africa (it is where he was raised from 1 year old)  I thought I would make him a card with an African theme.

I cut the tree and landscape from the Cricut everyday paper dolls cartridge and used gel pens and a little bit of smooch for highlights.  I used the Cappuccino Delight kaleidacolour ink pad with a brayer for the background on white basil card stock to give that textured look.  I then used a finger dauber wtih the darkest colour on the pallete and smudged bits here and there for the appearance of clouds.  The happy birthday stamp is from  Kaszazz.  I then just kept on layering until I got the look I was after.

Will try and post something tomorrow if I have time.  Thanks for looking and hope you all have a great weekend.
