Some mothers day Cards

You are probably thinking "whoa,  it's nowhere near mothers day yet"!  Well I thought I would get a head start, cos before I know it, mothers day will be here and alas I will not be prepared.

I made these cards with a detatchable bookmark so it is more than just a card.  The stamps I have used are from the Kaszazz Spring Time set and I have also used the Because of You set from Verve.  They make a great combination.  I got the effect from stamping the flower image in watermark then used clear embossing powder and heat set.  I then used my blending tool with the distress ink and went over certain sections of the card.  I then stamped images with the same colour ink and finished with the sentiment.

The next one I changed a little with the sentiments.

Well thanks for looking and see here next time.  X

Another birthday card with some new stamps

Hi everyone.  Am a little late with this post, but my days just seem to fly.  I made the following card with a couple of the May new release stamps which I simply adore.  We have had a huge sneak peak of some of the new release products so I think we are in for a bumper May release catalogue.  Over the next month I will try and post some sample cards showcasing some of the new stamps.

All of the stamps I used in this card are Kaszazz stamps and are available for purchase NOW.  If you are interested in any of the products used please send me a short email and I will be in touch with you soon.

Remember to check back to see more creations with new stamps.

Thanx for looking.

Birthday Card

It is my partners birthday tomorrow and I have just been so busy I haven't had time to make one,  not to mention I always seem to have trouble coming up with ideas for male cards.  As he loves Africa (it is where he was raised from 1 year old)  I thought I would make him a card with an African theme.

I cut the tree and landscape from the Cricut everyday paper dolls cartridge and used gel pens and a little bit of smooch for highlights.  I used the Cappuccino Delight kaleidacolour ink pad with a brayer for the background on white basil card stock to give that textured look.  I then used a finger dauber wtih the darkest colour on the pallete and smudged bits here and there for the appearance of clouds.  The happy birthday stamp is from  Kaszazz.  I then just kept on layering until I got the look I was after.

Will try and post something tomorrow if I have time.  Thanks for looking and hope you all have a great weekend.

Stamp Club cards

Hi everyone.  Once a month myself and a couple of other Kaszazz consultants catch up for a glass (or two) of wine and we make cards or scrap.  We take  turns each month to teach a technique and it just so happens to be my turn this time around.  So the brain went into overdrive trying to think of something that I could do that they haven't tried before.  This was no easy task as these ladies are quite talented.  So the challenge began and oh so many headaches later I decided on these two cards.

For the background I used just ordinary craft glue, three different shades of perfect pearls dabbed into the glue.  I then used my heat gun to go over the whole thing and heated it until it all bubbled then set it aside to completely dry.  The stamped images are from the Kaszazz range.  If you would like any further information on these cards please email me at kazkreations@bigpond.com.

Thanks for looking and hope you all have a great week ahead.

Paper Napkin Cards

Hi everyone.  Wow, where has my week gone?  It has come and gone that fast for me that it was just a blur!    This week in our card class we certainly had loads of fun.  We made a few cards using just regular patterned paper napkins, some cling film and cardstock.  The results were amazing. Below is just one of the cards, which happened to not only be my favourite, but also everyone in the class.

All you do is place a piece newspaper on your work surface.  Put  your  card stock down, place a layer of cling film over the top then remove the extra layers from the back of the napkin and place this on top of the cling film.  Then you need to place at least 2 pieces of newspaper over the top and iron on the highest setting until the cling film has melted and adhered the napkin to the card stock.  The cling film just acts as a type of glue.  The results are only limited to your imagination!  Hope you have fun trying this. Oh and remember to make sure to use newspaper or you will ruin your iron.  I guess it would be a good excuse to not have to iron again!

Below is another card I made this week.  I used the Unity February Kit of the Month (I love these stamps and the March kit should be here soon, woohoo).  I also used the rose cuttlebug embossing folder and Spellbinders Classic scalloped Oval set to cut the window.  The paper inside is from the Papermania Honey & Hugs paper pad.

More easel cards

Here are the easel cards that we made in today's card class.  Majority of the stamps used were from Kaszazz.   If you would like any details on the stamps please email me at kazkreations@bigpond.com.

I used a white gel pen to highlight the waves on this one.

.
I must admit this one is my favourite.  I used Lyra water colour crayons to colour the middle then smudged a little Crystal Ice stickles in the middle of the Frangipanis.

I thought these were a great make for all age groups.  Also because they had that summer feel.  Oh I  love summer!  Well thanks for looking and see you here next time.

Easel Card

As my card class this week is based on easel cards, I thought I would make a shape one just for something different.  Stamps I have used are Verve Mothers day set for the flowers and Unity's February Kit of the Month for the sentiment.  I thought it fitting considering the weather we have had lately in "sunny" Queensland!  Patterned paper is once again from the Papermania Honey and Hugs paper pad.  The shaped card was cut from the cricut using the Wild Card cart.

A close up of the inside.  I used a score board to score the double lines.

Will post the cards we make in our class tomorrow afternoon.

Thanks for looking.

Mothers Day card

Hi everyone.  No I haven't gone mad.  I know mothers day isn't til May.....but, it is mothers day soon (very soon) in England.  So, as my mother-in-law is English I thought I had better get a move on it...NOW before my name is mud because I was slack!  I used Verve stamps for the sentiment and flower (not sure the name of the set, could be mothers day).  Oh they do have some lovely stamps! Paper is from the Papermania Honey and Hugs pad.  Hope you like!
